I came across IGOTU® through a fellow Shaker alum who started this movement - a father carrying a common message of hope, reassurance and inspiration in memory of his daughter.
The moment I learned the story behind it, it hit home. Because hope is something my family has had to hold onto, too.
For my son, John
My son John has been through multiple heart surgeries over the years. The IGOTU® bracelet would have been the perfect sign of hope and strength to share with him through it all - a small, constant reminder that he was never fighting alone.
For my father
My father battled cancer, and later passed away from it. I made a vow: to put these bracelets on the wrists of my friends and family - worn in his honor, and for everyone still fighting and finding hope through their own battle with cancer.
So when I share an IGOTU® wristband with you, it isn't a gimmick. It's a piece of something personal - a way of saying that I'm in your corner, in the big moments and the hard ones.
